When the Grid Goes Down in the Carolinas, You Feel It.
Hurricane season, ice storms, aging power infrastructure, overloaded summer grids — the Carolinas see more extended outages than most of the country. A few hours without power is inconvenient. A few days is dangerous: spoiled food, flooded basements from dead sump pumps, CPAPs and medical equipment going silent, work-from-home income disappearing, homes dropping below freezing.
A standby generator changes the equation. The moment grid power drops, yours kicks on automatically — in under 30 seconds — and keeps running on natural gas or propane for as long as you need it. No extension cords. No gas cans. No panic.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much does a whole-home generator cost in the Carolinas?
Most of our residential installs land between $13,000 and $17,000 fully installed, depending on home size, generator capacity, and site conditions. We offer financing as low as $89/mo with approved credit. The best way to get a real number is our free on-site assessment.
How long does installation take?
From signed contract to a running generator, most homes are complete in 2-3 weeks — the bulk of that is permitting and utility scheduling. On-site work is typically 1–2 days.
Natural gas or propane — which is better?
If your home already has natural gas service, it’s usually the simplest and cheapest to operate. Propane is the go-to for homes without gas service; we can size a tank (or use an existing one) to run the generator for a week or more.
Will a standby generator power my whole house?
Yes! This is what we specialize in. A properly sized whole-home generator — typically 20–26 kW for a Carolina home — can run your HVAC, well pump, refrigerators, lights, and outlets simultaneously. We’ll run a load calculation during your assessment to ensure it.
Do you service generators you didn't install?
Yes. We service all major brands — Generac, Kohler, Cummins, Briggs & Stratton — whether we installed them or not. Book an annual maintenance or request a diagnostic anytime.
Are permits and inspections included?
Yes. Every install we do is fully permitted and passes inspection by your local jurisdiction. We handle the paperwork.
What warranty comes with a new generator?
Most residential units come with a 5 year manufacture factory warranty. We also offer extended warranty and service plans that cover parts, labor, and annual maintenance.
